	Saturday 10 October 2009 7.30pm Linton Village College WAYNE WENG piano A luscious programme of piano favourites including Beethoven Sonata No 31 in Ab major and Rondo in C major, Chopin's Sonata No3 in B minor, works by Albeniz and Ravel's La Valse. Taiwanese-Canadian pianist Wayne Weng has recently won prizes at the Haverhill Competition and the Washington International Competition, where The Washington Post described his final round performance as "valiant… passionate… and raised the excitement level of the afternoon several notches".
	Saturday 28 November 2009 7.30pm Linton Village College SOLSTICE STRING QUARTET - Extra Concert! Jamie Campbell violin Nicholas Shardlow violin Meghan Cassidy viola Gregor Riddell cello Haydn String Quartet in E flat major Op 33 No 2 The Joke Mendelssohn String Quartet in C minor Op 13 Dvorák String Quartet no12 in F major The American The Solstice Quartet, an award-winning and talented group of four musicians who trained at Cambridge, and are returning today to give their second performance as part of the Cambridge Music Festival. Tickets £11 (£9 concessions) - Sponsored by The Solstice String Quartet are replacing the Quince Quartet for this concert, due to one of the Quince Quartet suffering from a hand injury.
	Saturday 12 December 2009 7.30pm St Mary's Church CLASSIC BUSKERS *CHRISTMAS SHOW* The Classic Buskers' Christmas programme is strictly a Carol-free zone. Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker, Vivaldi's Winter Concerto, Beethoven's Choral Symphony and works by Corelli and Handel will be included amongst other seasonal numbers, but the Buskers believe that carols are best left to choirs! Technical virtuosity, combined with musical seriousness, humour and high entertainment are a perfect recipe - the audience were delighted. Ian Ritchie, City of London Festival Director
	Saturday 13 February 2010 7.30pm Linton Village College REINECKE TRIO Stephen Pierce clarinet Christopher Wellington viola Terence Allbright piano Mozart's finest piano trio, the 'Kegelstadt' in Eb,K498, appeared in 1786 and inspired many other composers to write for this combination. The Reinecke Trio was formed to explore this repertoire and their concert includes the Mozart, works for duo combinations and the particularly melodious and attractive A major Trio by Carl Reinecke
	Saturday 27 March 2010 7.30pm Linton Village College JENKINSON FARR DUO Katherine Jenkinson cello Alison Farr piano Vivaldi Sonata No 6 Rv46 Shostakovich Sonata for Cello and Piano Op 40, Fauré Elegie Beethoven Sonata in D Major Op 102 No 2 Individually and together this brilliant Duo have been recipients of many awards. "These grand performers mastered the style with awe-inspiring understanding and amazing phrasing and articulation."
BONUS CONCERT FOR MEMBERS This concert (being held in Linton) is part of the Saffron Walden & District Music Club 2009/10 music season. 	As part of and in collaboration with the Linton Children's Book Festival Sunday 9 May 2010 4pm Linton Village College PETER & THE WOLF Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf will be performed by an orchestra of talented local musicians with guest narrator. This delightful classic uses different instruments to portray the animals in the story of Peter, and is sure to delight the Linton audiences as a finale to the third Linton Children's Bookfestival. Tickets at the door, Adults £5 Children free.
	Saturday 22 May 2010 7.30pm Linton Village College HANNAH MARCINOWICZ saxophone DANIEL SWAIN piano Classical saxophone playing like you have never heard before! A talented young soloist, Hannah Marcinowicz, made an acclaimed Wigmore Hall debut in 2008. Tonight's programme includes Muczynski's Sonata, Op 29, Milhaud's Scaramouche and Debussy's Syrinx.
	Saturday 19 June 2010 7.30pm Linton Village College ARMONICO CONSORT Glory of Old England Armonico Consort transports audiences to another world in a concert of chant and polyphony by Tallis and Byrd followed by the lighter side of music from the last 500 years, including close harmony and folksongs. The group presents an atmospheric concert with plenty of magical musical moments. In this final concert of the season find out why Armonico Consort has become a sensation at every major music festival across the country. A beautiful sound - BBC Radio 3
